The Mutt's Nuts! on Fri 29th Jul 05

This band is the business - interactive, fun and the singer is a legend! Hecklers beware - you have met your match here!.

Dirtiest band in town rock The Famous Old Barrel, Exmouth on Sun 18th Dec 05.

This was one of the best gigs I have ever seen at the Barrel. You don't see many rock and blues bands with a sax player so we didn't know what to expect. They started off with some kicking blues music with interesting intro's to most songs. I was stunned to hear them do a version of the Joe Cocker number 'Five Women' with stunning vocals by the big man (one of 3 called Dick), a hilarious version of 'Hit the Road Jack' (including the first of many walkabouts by the singer with his radio mike). The band were very interactive and entertaining and had the crowd not only singing but dancing and laughing very early on. The second set starts slow then builds, and their version of the Stones' 'Sympathy for the Devil' is unbelievable (done by - unless my eyes deceived me - a teenage girl drummer). This band are building a great reputation and following.

Five of the best St George's Hall, Exeter on Fri 29th Jul 05

I cannot believe that no-one has written a review on this brilliant band. .What a night! El-Cojones played at their best, Betty Bondage playing her version of a Stones number, 'Sympathy for the Devil' was enough to make the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end. Every musician was first class, the rawness of the singer, singing with his heart, some of the blues numbers was like wrapping your fingers in velvet. I would love to see a CD of El-Cojones, I for one would buy it. They are raw in their stage act, they talk to the crowds, they involve the crowd, the crowd gets in a frenzy, the band then gently brings them back down and carries them alone with excellent Sax playing, the haunting sound of Soul, the lead guitar talking the words. Every member plays and sings with love, they obviously enjoy what they do. Whilst El-Cojones are advertised as a Rock R & B cover band, they have their own style, and boy does it work. Come on you music lovers, follow the band.

Mad! The Famous Old Barrel, Exmouth on Sun 18th Dec 05

I must write to back up what the other review says. I wish we had bands like this back home in Serbia! They are a great band - and very rude and stupid! Dick the singer is very loud and funny, the guitar player is good but smells [nice - Ed] and the sax is great for a man who looks like my grandfather. Best is the young sexy drummer, very hot and good! You want to boogie and have fun - go see this band! Like the singer says, the more you drink the better they look!
